what we do
our past projects
SFS X MCM UPCYCLING PROJECT
second chance's first project. this marked our first partnership with MCM and Seoul Foreign School. We received over 1000 defective products, which we were able to upcycle through partnering with SFS and their art department from all 4 sectors of the school. we sold these upcycled products and were able to raise +$10,000 which was all donated to three organizations: a childcare facility center in Songpa-gu called the Bright Future Childcare Center, Sungjoo Foundation for Women's Education, and SFS.

INTERNATIONAL FAIR X MCM UPCYCLING PROJECT
second chance's second project. the organization collaborated with the annual International Fair held in Seoul, South Korea to sell upcycled MCM projects, and was able to raise over $6000 in total. products were upcycled through public volunteers, which was advertised through social media marketing and on-site advertising. all proceeds were donated to the Bright Future Childcare Center and the Sungjoo Foundation for Women's Education.
BRIGHT FUTURE MULTICULRAL CHILDCARE CENTER VOLUNTEERING
second chance runs the BRIGHT FUTURE MULTICULTURAL CHILDCARE CENTER VOLUNTEER RUNS every 2 weeks, where volunteers of all ages are able to help tutor multicultural children across South Korea. These tutoring sessions often revolve around creativity and art, teaching young children the process of upcycling and achieving our mission statement. we also tutor math and english to these children as requested by the organizers of the childcare center.
TERAROSA X SFS X LEFLORUM COFFEE FERTILIZER KIT
second chance's latest project. the organization collaborated with renowned coffee company TERAROSA alongside premium flower boutique LE FLORUM, creating eco-friendly coffee grounds fertilizer kits. these kits were made using coffee compost from TERAROSA, and packaged together alongside basil seeds provided by LE FLORUM. with the help of SFS students. these kits were then distributed to TERAROSA customers, on NATIONAL ARBOR DAY. all 5000 kits were distributed on one day, proving to be another major success for the SECOND CHANCE.

l'Oreal collaboration
upcycling project with L'oreal: through receiving products with an expiration date of less than an year, we plan to upcycle these products into sanitary products and detergents that can be used throughout our local community and partners.

compost through coffee 2.o
collaborating with global coffee shops to receive wasted coffee beans, which will be used to create compost for plants. we plan to distribute the compost to members of our community on National Arbor Day.

upcycling art
we plan to host an exhibition that features art projects created by students using only defective products. These students will be provided the products through our company, where they will be able to create their own pieces of art to publish through our exhbition
